WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN
SWITCHING TO NATURAL DEODORANT
THE STAGES
OF DETOX
Antiperspirant contains aluminum which blocks sweat glands preventing you from sweating. This also traps toxins in your body. With natural deodorant your underarms are free to breathe
A 2 to 4 week transition period can be expected when transitioning from antiperspirant to natural deodorant. Studies show that antiperspirant users experience a transient increase in odorous bacteria in the underarm area when they stop using antiperspirant. This is also referred to as detoxing armpits.
STAGES OF DETOX
WEEK 1: Everything will seem normal, begin to use the takesumi detox® 2 step system.
WEEK 2: Studies show when you stop using antiperspirant, your body will temporarily produce more odor-causing bacteria. Use the underarm bar and charcoal deodorant to manage the odor during this period
WEEK 3: Moisture and odor levels start to normalize but some odor may remain. Stick with the system.
WEEK 4: Your body should begin to adjust to natural deodorant – continue using the takesumi detox® system daily for maximum odor protection.
NOTE: Each stage of the detoxing armpits process may vary depending on your body chemistry.
THE UNDERARM BAR
Lather with the underarm bar for 30 seconds on each underarm to remove deodorant build up and yesterday’s odor causing bacteria.
CHARCOAL DEODORANT
Follow with a generous layer of charcoal deodorant to help draw out impurities and buildup while neutralizing odor throughout the day.
THE SWEAT POWDER
If you struggle with excess sweat, finish with a generous layer of the sweat powder to absorb excess moisture, prevent chafing and manage odor.
