STEP 1: the kojic acid brightening bar

First, the brightening bar minimizes the appearance of dark spot pigmentation with kojic acid and licorice root extract, while also eliminating odor-causing bacteria in the underarms.

STEP 2: the niacinamide brightening deodorant

Next, this deodorant combines niacinamide and alpha arbutin to brighten underarms while a potent fermentation extract and activated charcoal helps control odor.

If you experience excess sweat, we recommend using our 3-step system that includes the sweat powder.

STEP 1: the kojic acid brightening bar

  • Use the kojic acid bar in the shower every morning before deodorant application.
  • To maximize the brightening and bacteria-eliminating power of this soap, lather the bar and then massage into the underarm area in circular motions using your fingers or a gentle exfoliating brush.
  • Leave the lather on the area for 30 seconds before rinsing off to give the formula time to absorb.

STEP 2: the brightening niacinamide deodorant

Apply a generous layer of the takesumi bright niacinamide deodorant to underarms.

The longer the pigmentation has been present, the longer it will take to see significant improvement. Customers have reported seeing initial results within the first couple weeks, with more significant results within 4-6 weeks. 

Use both steps (the kojic acid brightening bar and niacinamide brightening deodorant) for faster underarm brightening results

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is a result of irritation. Brightening treatments will be unsuccessful until underlying cause of inflammation has been addressed. 

We recommend implementing the following tips: 

  • Shaving is the #1 cause due to irritation. Use a shave oil, shave at night and don’t apply anything to the area for 12-24 hours following shaving. 
  • Avoid irritating underarm products that contain ingredients such as baking soda, aluminum or high levels of fragrance 
  • Reduce chafing and friction in affected area, including chafing from tight, non-breathable clothing materials 

If your main concern is to treat dark underarms, then you should use the 2-step takesumi bright system for dark underarms. It will manage odor and dark underarms at the same time. 

If you are not concerned about dark underarms, then use the 2-step takesumi detox system for excess odor. 

No, the niacinamide brightening deodorant is not an antiperspirant. It is an aluminum-free natural deodorant and thusdoesn’tstop you from sweating. Itcontainsa potent fermentation extract and activated charcoal to neutralize odor and manage odor-causing bacteria.

The kojic acid brightening bar can be safely used on dark spot pigmentation found on the:​ 

  • Underarms*​ 
  • Dark elbows & Knees​ 
  • Dark Inner Thighs​ 
  • Buttocks 
  • Hands (to address age/liver spots) 

 
It can also be used on dark spots and blemish marks left behind from:​ 

  • Ingrown Hairs​

For external use only. Do not use in the vaginal region or to shave underarms. Do not use after shaving. Always shave in the evening and allow your skin to calm before using this product. 

For faster brightening results use the takesumi bright system: 

STEP 1: the kojic acid brightening bar Moisten the bar and apply the lather to affected areas with a soft and gentle cloth or silicone exfoliating brush (fingers can be used if exfoliating has occurred more than twice a week). Massage for 30 seconds to allow the actives to penetrate the area before rinsing off. 

STEP 2: niacinamide deodorant Follow with a generous application of deodorant to clean, dry underarms daily. 

STEP 3: the sweat powder For extra protection against excess perspiration, and to prevent chafing and irritation that can lead to hyperpigmentation, apply a generous layer of the sweat powder over top of your deodorant.

The niacinamide deodorant can also be used following the kojic acid brightening bar on areas with dark spot pigmentation and experience chafing and friction such as the inner thighs. 

Once dark spots are minimized, continue to use the deodorant on underarms for lasting results.

Do not use after shaving or waxing. Always shave at night and allow the skin to calm down before applying the deodorant.

Some may notice slight redness or discomfort after using the deodorant for the first time. In order to ensure you can use the formula, test the deodorant on your forearm for twenty-four hours before applying it on your underarms and body. Look out for any unusual reactions.

Iƒ??ve been using this product for about 2 months now and have seen that it works, but it also just looks like my hyperpigmentation has just migrated in some lighting.

I've been using the 2-step system for brightening underarms for about 2 months now. I noticed less irritation and bad odor, but my underarms are still pigmented. I hope it will get brighter the more I continue using both soap and deo.

IF I CAN GIVE THIS 10 STARS I WOULD!!!! I have hyperpigmentation on my under arms so I got the 2 step brightening kit which comes with a soap and the deodorant. I am one month in and I do see a difference, I plan on using this for the rest of my life so i am sure after a couple of months the darkness will be gone. I also have the black soap which helps for smell. My routine is I use the black soap first for 3 seconds under each arm, then I use the white kojic soap for 30 seconds. Once I step out of shower I will use a clean towel to dry my under arms and apply the brightening deodorant. I WONT STINK AT ALL!!!! I am so surprised at the end of the day. TMI but I wipe my underarms with my hand and smell my hand and THERE IS NO SMELL!!!!!! ITS SHOCKING!!!! I love the inventor of this product and i really hope the product is around for the rest of my life. I NEED THIS IN STORES!!!!!
